It’s funny what you can come across when you get lost driving home from Home Depot
Moving to a new place often comes with a lot of firsts and exploration. One thing my husband and I tend to do is use a GPS to get to where ever and see if we can find another way home. That’s exactly what we did today!
We’ve been told time and time again since we moved the PNW to enjoy the sunlight and good weather while we have it, and we’ve been doing just that. Two or three times a week go the the butcher shop a few blocks away, fill the kiddy pool, and warm up the grill. But as often happens, we ran out of propane, thus the trip to Home Depot.
But the best part was the winding drive home when we drove by the Burgermaster. Little did we know in just a few hours we would pack everyone back in the car to go grab a burger. We had a wonderful experience! On the way both kids fell asleep so my husband and I got to have one of our rare little dates. We drove up the the kiosks, made out order:
- mushroom and swiss burger
- grilled crab sandwich
- strawberry milkshake
- butterscotch milkshake
- fries
There’s something about the 50’s style drive up experience that made eating in the car feel like a real treat. The burger was solid the grilled crab sandwich was so rich. I’m expecting that Burgermaster will land a permanent place in the rotation, and with it being open till 11pm will be the go-to place when my daughter starts teething and waking in the middle of the night!
